Wreaths Across America lays wreaths in remembrance of fallen military heroes
MOULTRIE, Ga. – It’s essential to honor those who have sacrificed in our military. That’s what’s happening across the nation as they lay wreaths in remembrance for those who have served.
Over 3 million wreaths were placed across America, with over 4,900 cemeteries participating. This meaningful tribute honors the sacrifices of veterans who are no longer with us.
The event also brings together families spanning multiple generations, ensuring this tradition lives on.
“Well, we think that the best place to start patriotism is young and built as they grow. And, then, some of these people have been, they are part of military families and they want their children and grandchildren to grow up experiencing that. So, there are several families that are three generation families here,” said Nancy Coleman, chairman, Wreaths Across America.
Most importantly, the focus is on honoring veterans who have passed, recognizing their service and sacrifice.
Whether they protected us or fought alongside others, their legacy is remembered and celebrated.
“One of the positive aspects of our country is that so many people do not have to serve. But, that means that those who are or should be, standouts in our communities because so many have depended on those who did serve to help provide the life that we all have,” said Terry Turner, retired U.S. Army Veteran.
Over 1000 wreaths were laid in Moultrie.
Keeping this tradition alive since 1992.
