Interfaith Children’s Movement Celebrates 26 Years of Faith and Action
ATLANTA, Ga. – The Interfaith Children’s Movement (ICM) invites people of all faith traditions to gather on Sunday, August 30, 2026, for its 26th Annual Interfaith Prayer Celebration & FUNdraiser for Children and Families in Georgia. This year, ICM is transforming its annual Prayer Celebration into a Birthday Celebration for the Movement, honoring 26 years of bringing people together to advocate for children and families across Georgia.
For 26 years, the Interfaith Children’s Movement has inspired people of faith to work together on behalf of Georgia’s children and families. What began as a call to work across faith traditions has grown into a statewide movement. The Annual Prayer Celebration brings together faith leaders, young people, advocates, community partners, and supporters to celebrate that shared legacy and renew their commitment to building a Georgia where every child has the opportunity to thrive.
This year’s celebration will also highlight the voices of ICM’s Youth Advocacy Interns, who are already demonstrating what it looks like to build bridges across faith traditions and advocate for children and families together.
“I see mosques, churches, synagogues, temples, gurdwaras, and so many other faith communities coming together around one shared goal: advocating for children and families. That’s why ICM’s work is so important. It creates relationships across faith traditions and helps us work together for the common good,” said Muhammad Thahir, ICM Youth Advocacy Intern.
Guests will experience interfaith prayer, powerful youth voices, live music, storytelling, recognition of community leaders, and birthday cake as ICM celebrates 26 years of faith in action while looking toward the future.
