New book details Stephen Miller’s plan to purge ‘weak-kneed’ lawyers

White House reporter for the New York Times Jonathan Swan and co-author of the new book “Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump” details longtime Trump senior advisor Stephen Miller’s crusade to revamp the legal system. Swan says Trump became frustrated and complained about his lawyers during his first term, berating his White House counsel daily. Swan says sources told him Miller suggested to Trump that those lawyers were “careerists” and encouraged Trump to hire new, tougher lawyers with their legal interpretations.
