City of Albany responds to sanitary sewer overflow due to a broken force main near ASU with wastewater release in Flint River
ALBANY, Ga. – On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, a sanitary sewer overflow occurred near Albany State University due to a broken force main.
An undetermined amount of wastewater was released into the Flint River.
Crews were immediately dispatched to the site to stem the flow and repair the line.
