Downtown Unadilla gears up for 9th Annual Hog Drop New Year’s Eve Celebration
UNADILLA, Ga. – Anyone still looking for New Year’s Eve plans can head to downtown Unadilla tonight for one of the region’s biggest celebrations. The 9th Annual Hog Drop kicks off at 6 p.m. along West Railroad Street, offering a full evening of family-friendly entertainment to ring in 2026.
The annual event features a major barbecue competition with thousands of dollars in cash prizes, alongside crowd-favorite attractions like a monster truck show, a dirt bike stunt show, fire performers, live music, and a fireworks display to close out the night.
Guests of all ages can also enjoy food trucks, Robinson’s Racing Pigs, a mechanical bull, axe throwing, inflatable attractions, rock wall climbing, and a live chainsaw carving demonstration. Organizers say the Hog Drop continues to grow each year and has become a signature New Year’s Eve tradition for Unadilla and surrounding communities.
The celebration is open to the public and takes place at 457 West Railroad Street in downtown Unadilla. Community members and visitors alike are encouraged to come out, enjoy the festivities, and ring in the new year together.
