The Yellow Elephant launches “Operation Fill Momma’s Stocking” to support local mothers this Christmas

MOULTRIE, Ga. – The Yellow Elephant is calling on the community to help spread warmth and kindness this holiday season through its third annual “Operation Fill Momma’s Stocking.”

The initiative aims to fill fifty stockings for women who could use a little extra support this Christmas. Twenty of the stockings will go to moms nominated from within the community, while the remaining thirty will be delivered to women receiving care at Serenity House and Hope House.

Organizers are collecting a wide range of small, comforting gifts to fill the stockings. Suggested donation items include throw blankets, soft socks, cosmetic bags, gift cards, and personal-care items such as lotion, lip gloss, travel-size hand sanitizers, nail kits, and body spray. Pens, notebooks, bookmarks, hair clips, and face or foot masks are also welcome.

Community members can participate in several ways. A full stocking can be sponsored for $50, while a half stocking sponsorship is available for $25. Organizers say even the smallest contribution can brighten the holidays for a mother who may be facing challenges this season.

Donations may be dropped off at Hope House Women’s Clinic at 616 1st Avenue SE in Moultrie, and online sponsorships can be made at theyellowelephant.org/give.
