Albany Symphony Orchestra to present 34th Annual Peppermint Pops Concert Tuesday
ALBANY, Ga. – The Albany Symphony Orchestra is getting ready to usher in the holiday season with its 34th Annual Peppermint Pops concert on Tuesday, December 9, at the Albany Municipal Auditorium. The performance begins at 6:30 p.m., and doors open at 5:30 p.m. for general admission seating.
The beloved community event is free to attend, with a suggested donation of $15. This year’s concert is part of the Symphony’s American Voices season, a celebration of 250 years of American music.
The evening will feature performances from the Albany Symphony, the Albany Chorale, the Albany State University Concert Chorale, the ABAC Festival Singers, and dancers from Ballet Theatre South. Holiday guests Santa and the Grinch will also make special appearances.
Audience members will have the opportunity to purchase the poinsettias displayed on stage before and after the concert. Large arrangements are available for $20 and small for $10.
Peppermint Pops will also be filmed by WALB News 10 and streamed throughout the holiday season on platforms such as Mediacom, YouTube, Hulu, Roku, Apple TV, Peacock, and others.
