St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church hosts free community Kids Clothing & Toy Swap on December 14

Albany, GA — St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church invites families across the community to take part in a festive and sustainable holiday event: the Kids Clothing & Toy Swap, held Sunday, December 14 from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM in the church’s Parish Hall.

The Kids Clothing & Toy Swap is part of St. Patrick’s ongoing commitment to community outreach and creation care. By encouraging the reuse of children’s items, the event not only supports local families but also helps reduce unnecessary waste during a season often marked by excess.

“The Church is at its best when it is families and households supporting each other, it goes all the way back to the time of Acts” said The Rev. Kyle C. Mackey, Rector of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church. “This event is a simple yet meaningful way to bless our community, care for creation, and spread the joy of Christmas in a tangible way.”

How It Works

Families are invited to donate gently used children’s clothing and toys during scheduled drop-off times. In exchange, they will receive tokens to use on Swap Day. All items available on December 14 will be free—no money exchanged. “We know the holidays can be financially challenging,” added Fr. Mackey. “This swap is a small but powerful way we can stand alongside families, not just spiritually, but practically.”
