Downtown Moultrie’s collectible Christmas ornament artist announced
MOULTRIE, Ga. – This year’s artist for Downtown Moultrie’s collectible Christmas ornament, featuring the Colquitt County Courthouse covered in snow, is Kolby DeMott.
The 23-year-old was raised here in Colquitt County and won a competition earlier this year to be on the ornament.
When asked what it means to be the featured artist, Kolby said, “All of the submissions in the competition were truly beautiful, and seeing how many people voted for my design and shared such kind words about my work has made me incredibly happy. It’s an honor to feel like I’m adding a small mark to such a special tradition and contributing to its history.”
Kolby DeMott is currently working to get all the ornaments signed. Once that’s done, the collectible ornaments will be dispersed among several of our downtown businesses to be sold starting November 27th.
