University of Georgia Small Business Development Center to host “Unlocking Capital: An Owner’s Guide to Funding a Small Business” interactive session at ASU’s Cordele Campus on Tuesday

CORDELE, Ga. – If you’re a small business owner or have a dream of starting your own venture, a free upcoming workshop could help you access the funding you need to grow.

The University of Georgia Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is hosting “Unlocking Capital: An Owner’s Guide to Funding a Small Business” on Tuesday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Albany State University’s (ASU) Cordele Campus.

This interactive session will guide entrepreneurs through a wide range of financing options, including SBA-backed loans, traditional bank financing, non-traditional funding sources, and specialty programs. Participants will also learn how to “think like a lender” and prepare their businesses to be lender-ready, an essential step in securing capital.

The workshop is free to attend, but organizers encourage participants to register in advance to reserve a spot.
