Turner Co. High School hosts “Be Pro, Be Proud” career fair
ASHBURN, Ga. – Students at Turner County High School also got the chance to take the first steps into the career of their choosing.
The school hosted their career fair as part of the “Be Pro, Be Proud” Georgia organization.
The career fair allowed students to meet with employers from over 50 local businesses, as well as more than half a dozen universities that are within southwest Georgia.
Turner County High opened up the career fair to local middle school students as well.
We got a chance to speak with one student about putting as many post-high school options out there as possible.
“It allows students, it allows other people to see what jobs are available out there. To see what internships are available. What careers you can take. What can you do in high school now to start looking for the job of your dreams?” said Luz Jose, senior.
The industries represented at Turner County’s career fair spanned from morticians to real estate and healthcare.
