GDOT: Worth Co. State Route SR-133 traffic shift rescheduled for April 9 due to inclement weather

WORTH Co., Ga. – According to the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) a contractor plans to shift State Route (SR) 133 traffic onto a newly-constructed detour. Once traffic has moved, the existing roadway will be removed and new lanes will be built. This is one of four sections of SR 133 that is currently being reconstructed/widened. This section runs from north of the Colquitt County line to north of SR 112, a little over six miles. The current scheduled completion date is the summer of 2026.

The reconstruction or widening will be Worth County from milepost (MP) 6 to 6.7.

Rescheduled to begin Tuesday, April 9. This shift had been scheduled to begin April 4, but had to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. The new traffic pattern is expected to be in place long term, potentially a year or more.
