NFL Legend Andre Reed to headline Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany’s 36th Annual Steak & Burger Dinner fundraiser

ALBANY, Ga. – A National Hall of Fame football player will be speaking to members of the Boys and Girls Club in Albany at the end of March.

The Boys and Girls Club of Albany announced Wednesday afternoon that former Buffalo Bills wide receiver and Boys and Girls Club member, Andre Reed, will be speaking at the club’s Steak and Burger Dinner later this month.

Reed will deliver the keynote address and speak to the current members of the Albany club.

Chapter President Jacqueline Robinson explains that having Reed, whose life was significantly influenced by the Boys and Girls Club, speak to the current kids involved illustrates the profound impact the club can have on their lives.

“This is an opportunity for them to see that through their dedication at their school, their involvement in their community and at their Boys and Girls Clubs; opportunities are limitless for them in the future. This is actually a time for them to say, ‘hey, Andre is a club kid just like me. And, if he can do it, I know I can as well,” said Chapter President Jacqueline Robinson.

The dinner is scheduled for Thursday, March 28th, at 6 p.m. on Albany State’s West Campus. Robinson informs us that Reed will be touring Boys and Girls Club facilities earlier in the day.
