“It is an honor and very humbling to be the next superintendent of the school district. We look forward to the challenges ahead. With everything out of our control in education, a couple of things are in our control, and that’s how hard we work. And, so I can tell you, we will work as hard as we can to make sure that all of our students get that top quality education they deserve, and we’re in the people business. We will make sure that we value people. Work to treat everybody the right way. Customer service will still be a top priority in the school system,” said Dan Chappuis, Prospective Colquitt County School District Superintendent.

“We also want to make sure that we build positive relationships in our buildings. We want to build a collaborative culture amongst our teachers in all of our staff, so we work together. A big piece will be in that collaborative culture. We believe number one with students, is building positive relationships. We will continue to work at that with our teachers, with our leaders. We’ve got to love our students when they come in and then when they know that, then they can learn. We are going to be about relationship building with our students, with our teachers, and again, an important piece, with our parents and community. It takes a whole village to educate our children. And, so, we will make sure that’s the foundation of everything that we do,” said Chappuis.
