Tifton liquor companies hold fundraiser for Revel’s Cause

TIFTON, Ga. – The Tifton community is banning together to help one little girl in her battle with leukemia.

Revel was diagnosed with leukemia around early September leaving her family in disbelief.

“Denial…this can’t be happening, I mean it just took days, then you wake up the next morning and you realize that this ain’t a bad dream, your wondering if there’s a misdiagnosis,” said Tammy & John Hicks, Grandparents of Revel.

In response to this devastating news, local store owner Connie Stover wanted to help.

“There’s a beautiful little girl who really needs this and people more aware of leukemia and what it does to children and their family. It doesn’t just affect one person, it affects the entire family. So, I wanted to do this for them,” said Connie Stover, Owner, Savor the Flavor.

So, liquor companies all across Tifton joined forces to donate in support of Revel.

“I talked to different companies like still Pine Winery, and Distill, Renegade Lemonade, Fall Line Beer, and Grapes A Ladder they were all very supportive,” said Stover.

Support that the Hicks family couldn’t be more grateful for…

“There’s a lot of awesome people out there, and there’s a lot of love still in this world. And, its really heartwarming, we’ve been blown away,” said Hicks.

Because, there’s no time like the present…

“Step up help come out and support this family and this little girl and help your community,” said Stover.

And, if you want to help, Tifton’s Savor the Flavor will be hosting spirits with the Spirits Night where 20 percent of the proceeds will be going to Revel in her fight against leukemia.
