Southern Regional Technical College sees 2nd highest growth in enrollment
TIFTON, Ga. – There are 22 technical colleges in the state of Georgia, but maybe there’s something special about Southern Regional Technical College as they’ve gained the second highest growth rate out of any technical college in Georgia.
“We’re a great place to be and it shows and I’ll tell you I’m the luckiest person at the college because I get to work with such great people,” said Jim Glass, President of SRTC.
The community of teachers and faculty are the reason students gravitate to Southern Regional.
“The heart of the instructors that are willing to stick their neck out for you, the administration is willing to help you in anyway they can,” said Rachel Bryan, Surgical Tech student at SRTC.
Southern Regional Technical College’s ‘Give Me 5’ campaign has developed a pathway of growth for the school.
“Our ‘Give Me 5’ campaign that our marketing folks came up with and really our entire senior staff worked, also through that it permeated through our faculty,” said Glass.
Colleges such as this offers a more personal experience between student and staff rather than at bigger university, because…
“The smaller technical colleges like this one that you get more help that you need,” Dayton Wilkes, Welding graduate from SRTC.
And, even with a more populated crowd at Southern Regional the mission is still the same.
“You come to us as a student, we’re going to love on ya, and get you in the door, we’re going to teach ya, we’re going to graduate and help you find a job,” said Glass.
