Albany Plaza set for demolition

ALBANY, Ga. – Commissioner Jon Howard announced Tuesday afternoon that the Plaza on East Oglethorpe Boulevard that housed Roses’ will be slated for demolition and being rebuilt.

Howard and members of the East Albany community called code enforcement to the Plaza in July as employees reported extremely high temperatures as well as the building being in disrepair.

Howard says that this is a major win for anyone who frequented the Plaza as they won’t run the risk of getting hurt.

Howard says that Roses’ will be rebuilt in the same Plaza as its own standalone building.
