NECCO Foster Care recognized for their dedication to improving the lives of children and their families
ALBANY, Ga. – NECCO Foster Care is recognized for their dedication to improving the lives of children and their families.
NECCO Foster Care, the leading advocate for child welfare in the Albany area received the Albany Area Chamber of Commerce’s “Star Business of the Week.”
NEECO is known for providing a nurturing environment for children in need and ensuring their safety and well-being.
“I felt great about it specifically for my team. For them to be recognized in that way for all the hard work they do. Being the program director is difficult, but the case managers here and the licensing specialist, they do the groundwork. They’re visiting these kids, they’re working with these families and that to me was the best part of it,” said Kaylene Kimsey, NEECO Albany program director.
NEECO Albany program director Kaylene Kimsey, says their biggest accomplishment is helping the children.
“Honestly, I would say the biggest accomplishment is just getting to see permanency for these children. Being able to witness children being adopted through foster care that’s always a beautiful thing. Or, getting to see them reunify with their biological family. We love being recognized for our work that we do, but that would be the most rewarding part of this job,” Kimsey said.
Putting an emphasis on creating and maintaining stable and loving foster homes.
“We have a large need for foster homes in south Georgia. We are a multi state agency and we have multiple locations here in Georgia. But letting people know that we are here, that NEECO is here. We would love to work with you on opening up your home and that you feel supported by doing it because we are like a big family here,” Kimsey said.
