SYLVESTER, Ga. – The Worth County Middle School students and staff were evacuated due to a bomb threat that occurred Monday morning.

Students were allowed to be checked out or transported by buses.

At 12:40 PM Worth County School System provided this update:

“The middle school has been thoroughly cleared, and no explosives were found.

Middle school students have safely returned to the building.

WCMS student check-outs from the high school have ended. Any parent who still needs to pick up a WCMS student may do so at the middle school’s front lobby.
