Women in the workforce conference held in Moultrie

First National Bank of Moultrie hosted the event

MOULTRIE, Ga. – The First National Bank of Moultrie held an entrepreneur’s event to inspire women in the workforce.

“We really just wanted a place where women could come, spend time together, be encouraged. You know be motivated to go out,” said Lorenda Smith, Vice President of First National Bank.

Cooking show host Vera Stewart inspired women at this event by telling the importance of having a dream.

“Dream is something I have done my entire life. I’ve just always been a dreamer. So that words stand for four letters that are very important if you think you want to be an entrepreneur,” said Vera Stewart, founder of VeryVera.

Many woman from all different backgrounds came out to this event to show that their all in it together.

“I think it’s important for women to get together and hear each other’s stories. Maybe there’s something they may connect with. Maybe there’s something they get to further empower themselves,” said El Vira Gibson, Director of Utilities, City of Moultrie.

National Women’s Month may be in March, but in Moultrie they celebrate and inspire woman every day.
