Wings & Things Festival and Fly-in soars into Douglas April 20th
DOUGLAS, Ga. – Get ready to take flight into the past and future of aviation at the Wings & Things Festival and Fly-in, presented by Visit Douglas and the Douglas-Coffee County Chamber of Commerce. Set against the backdrop of the historic Douglas Municipal Gene Chambers Airport, a former Army-Air Corp WWII Flight Training Base and Museum, this event promises a day filled with exhilarating experiences and enriching entertainment for aviation enthusiasts of all ages.
Scheduled for April 20, 2024, from 9am to 5pm, this festival celebrates the rich heritage of aviation while also highlighting the exciting possibilities for the future. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to witness the evolution of flight, from vintage aircraft displays to thrilling helicopter rides.
One of the main attractions of the festival is the chance to take flight aboard iconic aircraft such as the UH-1 Huey helicopter, as well as the historic PT-17 Stearman and Fairchild PT-19. Experience the thrill of aviation history firsthand and make memories that will last a lifetime.
In addition to aviation adventures, the Wings & Things Festival and Fly-in will feature a wide array of activities and entertainment for the whole family.
