Williams Tabernacle CME Church hosts 74th Annual Mammoth Tea in Moultrie

MOULTRIE, Ga. – A cherished community tradition is returning to Moultrie this weekend. Williams Tabernacle Christian Methodist Episcopal Church will host its 74th Annual Mammoth Tea program on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 3 p.m.

Under the leadership of Rev. Connie E. Scott, this year’s program will feature Rev. Ananias Hopkins III of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church in Baconton as the guest speaker. His message, “A Charge We Have to Keep in Uncertain Times,” is expected to inspire and uplift attendees.

The Mammoth Tea, originally created by the late Rev. Maceo C. Pettigrew, has become a time-honored gathering that blends faith, fellowship, and community partnership. The event promotes unity among churches and neighbors while raising support for church and community initiatives.

The celebration will take place at Williams Tabernacle CME Church, located at 314 3rd St. NW, Moultrie, GA 31768.
