Wilcox Co. Sheriff’s Office investigates robbery at Dollar General in Pitts

PITTS, Ga. – The Wilcox County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating a robbery at the Dollar General located on 41 Main Street in Pitts.

According to Sheriff Steve Mauldin, around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday evening, two suspects dressed in dark clothing entered the store.

Both suspects approached the cashier brandishing weapons, forced the cashier to open the drawer, and stole an undisclosed amount of money. The pair also shot at a vehicle traveling south on Pleasant View Road, where the suspects were last seen.
