Wilcox Co. Sheriff dies in afternoon accident
WILCOX Co. Ga. – Wilcox County Sheriff Robert Rogers died in an automobile accident this afternoon in Wilcox county.

He was travelling on Highway 233 responding to a domestic disturbance call when he lost control of his Patrol Pickup Truck, left the roadway, and hit a tree.
He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Sheriffs from several Georgia counties are in Wilcox County offering their assistance.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating.
