Whiting Drive Homicide Update

ALBANY, GA – An update to the homicide investigation that occurred on 1514 Whiting Drive in Albany.

On March 27, 2023, Shamya Haynes turned herself in to police.

She is currently in the Dougherty County jail for malice murder, two counts each of tampering with evidence, and theft by receiving stolen property.

Michael Jerome Jackson is currently being sought for in connection to the incident.

Anyone with information as to his whereabouts is encouraged to notify police.
