Unity in Community Festival brings art, music, and connection to Rylander Park in Americus
AMERICUS, Ga. – The Rotary Club of Americus and the Americus-Sumter County Arts Council are joining forces to host the Unity in Community Festival, a two-day celebration of art, peace, and togetherness at Rylander Park.
The festivities kick off on Saturday, October 25, with Peace Day from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will feature live performances, interactive peace stations, community resource booths, and a Kids’ Zone with face painting, storytelling, and arts and crafts. Guests can also enjoy free food and drinks and browse unique vendors. The celebration continues that evening from 6 to 9 p.m. with a Community Dance Party open to everyone.
Then on Sunday, October 26, from 1 to 6 p.m., the festival continues with Arts in the Park, a joyful afternoon of creativity, connection, and community spirit. Attendees can enjoy soulful storytelling and poetry readings, uplifting musical performances, line dancing and yoga dancing, and hands-on art activities for all ages. This day will also feature a collaborative community mural, where visitors can help bring a shared artistic vision to life. Local artists and vendors will be selling their creations, and food trucks will be on site offering delicious bites for purchase.
The Unity in Community Festival is free and open to the public, offering fun for all ages and a weekend filled with art, music, and togetherness.
