United Way of Southwest Georgia’s Campaign Awards
ALBANY, Ga. – The United Way of Southwest Georgia is giving credit where credit is due to the people who have lent a hand in the past year.
The organization will be holding their 2024 Campaign Awards on Thursday, August 22nd to honor the best volunteers in the last year.
This will be the first time the United Way has held such an event to honor volunteers in a few years.
Executive Assistant Tori Alexander says that while no one who volunteers does so for the glory, it’s important to highlight the work they’ve done in the community.
“I think it’s just a great way to show how much they contribute to what they do. I had to make some phone calls, let people know they were nominated, so we can make sure they were in attendance. And, they were shocked they were being recognized for what they do in our community,” said Tori Alexander, Executive Assistant, United Way of SWGA.
The United Way is still taking RSVP’s for the Campaign Awards through Thursday, the 15th. Anyone interested can contact Tori with the United Way: tori.alexander@unitedwayswga.com
