Tony’s Gym offers gym memberships as New Years resolution
ALBANY, Ga. – As the calendar turns to a new year, resolutions are in full swing, marking a notable shift in the gym industry.
As the upcoming new year draws near, many aspire to kickstart their health and fitness journeys, embracing healthier eating habits and regular exercise.
This surge in wellness goals is translating into a substantial increase in gym memberships.
Tony Powell, owner of Tony’s Westside Athletic Club, provides perspective on the shifting sales dynamics as the new year unfolds.
“Definitely, we have an increase of membership sales at the beginning of the year. Typically, it’s about double what our normal sales would be,” said Tony Powell, Owner of Tony’s Westside Athletic Club.
Tony’s offers a comprehensive selection of exercise choices, including indoor cycling, free weights, cardio equipment, personal training, and group classes.
The atmosphere at Tony’s is characterized by inclusivity rather than competition or judgment.
At the core of Tony’s philosophy is a dynamic and seasoned staff dedicated to creating an environment that embraces and welcomes everyone.
“Well, as far as memberships, we have a monthly rate, so you can join on a month to month basis. You can do a three month membership or an annual membership. So, there’s a variety of ways to join. The main thing you want to concentrate on when you’re starting on an exercise program is doing a combination of cardio strength training and flexibility. We also have the group exercise classes, which would be included in the membership. We also have a women’s workout center for females that just feel more comfortable working out in an all women environment. And, of course, they have the females have access to both sides, the coed and the ladies side,” said Powell.
Tony’s imparts valuable guidance for individuals embarking on their fitness journey for the first time in the new year.
“Well, develop a regular exercise program and you don’t have to work out every day a week, but you want to try and be consistent with at least three days a week. Typically, 45 minutes to an hour, so about 150 minutes a week. And, if you can find a workout partner to come with you, that always helps because that helps with accountability and makes your workouts more fun,” said Powell.
