Today’s Weather Forecast: June 3, 2022
Another hot day is expected with temperatures in the mid-upper 90’s. Heat index approaches 100°.
There is a Marginal Risk (level 1/5) of strong to severe thunderstorms this afternoon through the evening.
Main threats are 60 mph damaging wind gusts, torrential downpours that could lead to localized minor street flooding, & frequent lightning.
Still a chance of widely scattered showers and thunderstorms on Saturday.
Drier, less humid, and slightly cooler for second half of weekend.
Temperatures soar back into the mid-upper 90’s by middle to latter half of next week.
We now have Potential Tropical Cyclone One that is likely to become a Tropical Depression and eventually Tropical Storm Alex in the coming days.
This will be a lopsided storm, most of the weather on east side of circulation. Flooding & gusty winds south of I-4 in FL this weekend.
There will be no weather impacts to the Florida Panhandle or Big Bend, but it will bring a high risk of rip currents to area beaches this weekend.
