Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: March 17, 2021

Most of the day today will be relatively quiet, warm, and breezy with a strong southerly flow bringing in lots of moisture. Widely scattered t-storms are possible by the afternoon. An isolated severe t-storm is possible.
A Weather Aware Day is in effect late Tonight-all day Thursday!
Severe weather threat ramps up after midnight-early Thursday AM & peaks middle of the day tomorrow!
A Moderate Risk brushes our northern counties. An Enhanced Risk includes much of the area with a Slight Risk to the GA/FL line.
Widespread severe weather is possible including tornadoes (one or two could be strong – EF 3 +), damaging winds, and large hail. Flash flooding is not expected.
Prepare now by making sure you know where your safe room is, and that you have multiple reliable ways to receive watches/warnings including a NOAA Weather Radio. Do not rely on outdoor warning sirens.
