Today’s Weather Authority Forecast: August 30, 2021

While Ida continues to painfully slowly move out of Louisiana into Mississippi we will see mostly cloudy skies with some sunshine and a few scattered t-showers. As the remnant circulation of Ida passes well to our northwest models indicate a trailing outer feeder band could affect us Tuesday with locally heavy rainfall, breezy conditions, and a Marginal Risk for an isolated brief, weak tornado. As Ida moves into the TN Valley, a front could make its way towards us by end of the week pulling in drier air and morning lows in the mid 60s.
