A WEATHER AWARE DAY is in effect from Midday until late Tuesday evening for an “Enhanced Risk” of severe thunderstorms.
Main threats are damaging wind gusts 60-70 mph, several tornadoes (a few may be strong (EF 2+), large hail, and flash flooding.
There may be a break in the most intense activity overnight into early Wednesday morning before another round of strong to severe thunderstorms arrives Wednesday afternoon-evening.
Main threats will be damaging winds 60-70 mph, large hail, a lower risk but still a threat of an isolated tornado, & flash flooding.
Rainfall totals will be 2″-3″ with localized higher amounts from Tuesday morning-Thursday morning.
Temperatures will fall behind the storm system by the end of the week. Highs in the mid-upper 60s. Lows in the upper 30s-low 40s.
