Tifton’s Best Running hosts inaugural “Chase the Turkey” 5K Run and Walk this Saturday

TIFTON, Ga. – Get ready to lace up and hit the pavement for some festive fun this weekend! Tifton’s Best Running is hosting its inaugural “Chase the Turkey” 5K Run and Walk on Saturday, November 15, starting bright and early at 7:30 a.m.

The race begins and ends at Tifton City Hall, located at 204 Ridge Avenue North, with a scenic route winding through historic downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to take part in this first-ever Thanksgiving-themed event.

Participants will have the chance to win one of ten free pairs of HOKA running shoes, as well as special turkey trophies for top finishers in each age group, including overall and masters categories. Each registered runner will also receive a limited-edition “Chase the Turkey” dry-fit race shirt.

Pre-race packet pickup will be held on Friday, November 14, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Tifton’s Best Running, located at 218 Main Street.

After the race and awards ceremony, participants are encouraged to stick around downtown and enjoy Tifton’s Fall Farmers Market, featuring local vendors and seasonal favorites.
