Tifton Youth Council to host free clothing giveaway at Bateman Youth Center

TIFTON, Ga. – After collecting gently worn clothing, student leaders in Tifton are getting ready to give back to local families in need. A free clothing drive giveaway is set for Saturday, November 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center.

The event is open to anyone, with clothing sorted and distributed by members of the Tifton Youth Council, a group of high school juniors and seniors who work alongside city leaders to learn about local government and serve the community through hands-on projects like this one.

The clothing donations came from the Youth Council’s Family Halloween Outdoor Movie Night, held October 25 at Northside Baptist Church, where attendees donated items while enjoying a community screening of Halloweentown. The event was part one of the Council’s two-part service project, combining family fun with giving back.

The Anthony G. Bateman Youth Center is located at 511 West 17th Street in Tifton. For more information, contact Caroline Abbott at 229-391-3996.
