Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce holds annual Business Expo
TIFTON, Ga. – The Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce showcase the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of its community.
Members of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber, local businesses, community leaders, and residents joined together at the UGA Tifton Campus Conference Center for an informative event highlighting the city’s offerings.
Tifton residents had the chance to learn more about their community and explore local career opportunities.
“Our community, of course, our Chamber has hosted this expo for many, many years, and then we did not host it for about 16 years. So, 3 years ago we decided to bring it back, and we did, and we are hosting it annually every year. We have a multitude of businesses of all different sectors here. Lots of giveaways, some food and lots of fun. So, we’re just so excited because it gives our community a great opportunity to come out and learn a little bit about our businesses and what services that they have to offer and just different things across the border of our business sector,” said Melody Cowart, President & CEO, Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce.
The event was free to attend and featured door prizes, food, and giveaways.
Melody Cowart, President & CEO of the Tifton-Tift County Chamber of Commerce, discusses the various business sectors represented at the Business Expo, showcasing many local businesses that contribute to the community’s success.
“We have a lot of our local banks and several of our local industries. Some of our major sponsors are our course, Coca-Cola, United, Heatcraft, Synovus Bank, Southern Appliances. We also have Williams Hotel Group, which is the hospitality sector. Several of our cable companies and different things like that just across the board, just a great mixture of our local businesses,” said Cowart.
Cowart emphasizes the Chamber’s ongoing efforts to foster business growth within the community.
“We’re all about our community growing and we have a great community that is continuing to grow each day. But, we’re here to help our businesses grow and really get to our community and people see what we’re all about. So we’re just building our business community as best we can,” said Cowart.
