Tifton residents donate blood in memory of ABAC student
TIFTON, Ga. – On Saturday, Tifton residents would gather for a blood drive in memory of an ABAC student.
20-year-old Ethan James passed away in July of 2023 from a car accident, receiving three blood transfusions on the way to a Tallahassee hospital.
Ever since he was two-years-old, James was seen wearing a Superman shirt or cape, and he was a hero in his final moments by donating his organs to save others, and will be remembered for his kindness and for his care for his loved ones.
“When he was like two years old up there. He always, always had superman t shirts on and stuff. Those donations made it possible for him to need to be an organ donor,” said Laura and Deron James, Ethan’s Parents.
Doners received a $20 E gift card, a t-shirt, and a wellness check that included blood pressure, pulse, temperature, iron count, and cholesterol screening.
