Tifton Pepi’s Food Mart burglary suspects found in Dooly County

TIFTON, Ga. – Tifton Police Officers were dispatched to Pepi’s Food Mart located at 909 W. 20th Street regarding a burglary Thursday, September 4, 2025 at approximately 1015 hours.

Tifton Officers were able to trace, based on video surveillance footage, where two unknown black males exited a newer-model Chevrolet Blazer, black in color, and entered Pepi’s Food Mart at approximately 0715 hours on Thursday.

One male is seen on video surveillance footage appearing to distract the Pepi’s cashier while the other male looks to be breaking into the office and stealing a large sum of cash.

Both males left the store and appeared to merge onto I-75 northbound.

Thanks to Dooly County Sheriff’s Office and their proactive patrol, Deputies located the suspects’ vehicle and the two individuals, now identified as Aarinton Griffin (36) of Roswell, Ga and Labrinzo Stephens (48) of Atlanta, Ga.

Griffin and Stephens are both being charged with one count of Burglary in the second degree.
