Tifton Housing Authority’s Family Fun Day & Henry H. & Bessie W. Tift Statue dedication ceremony
TIFTON, Ga. – The Tifton Housing Authority is inviting families out for a day of fun and connection at their family fun day event this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This free event is part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Strong Families initiative, aimed at strengthening community ties and supporting local households.
Families can look forward to fitness challenges, live entertainment, free food, arts and crafts, and plenty more.
Local organizations will also be on-site with interactive booths offering low-to-no-cost resources and services.
It’s all happening at the Bellview Community Building, 1901 Bellview Avenue in Tifton.
And… be sure to stick around Saturday evening! A public dedication for the new statue honoring Captain Henry Harding Tift and his wife Bessie will take place at 5 p.m. between the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center and the Tifton-Tift County Public Library.
