Dedicated to the cause...

TIFTON, Ga. – Most people quit their day jobs because they had a bad day, but Lieutenant Warren Elder is dedicated to the cause celebrating his 15th year as a firefighter.

“It’s an eye opening experience everyday because no day is the same,” Lieutenant Warren Elder, Tifton Firefighter.

With time comes changes and Lt. Elder has had to adjust to new technologies.

“Everything is constantly changing technology wise, we’re doing time clocks on our logins, and even our reports used to be paper written, now it’s done on an iPad,” he said.

Sacrifice has also played a huge roll in the 15 year career of Elder.

“Most people work 24-48, well here in the City of Tifton we work 48-96 so we’re here two days straight,” he said.

And…with long work hours family time is cut short.

“It’s just you miss your family growing up and the kids especially their the ones that suffer,” he said.

Lieutenant Warren Elder tells me teamwork is what has kept him here in Tifton.
