Tifton Fire Dept. hiring firefighters to join their team

TIFTON, Ga. – Are you ready to make a profound impact in your community? Well, the Tifton Fire Department is seeking dedicated individuals to join their team of heroes.

Firefighters at the Tifton Fire Department undertake a range of critical roles and responsibilities daily.

Assistant Fire Chief, Kiefer Daughtry offers insight into what these responsibilities these entail.

“Here at the City of Tifton Fire Department, we are currently looking for individuals who are wanting to start a career. This is an entry level position. We’re looking for firefighters. They will be part of suppression, which is shift work, and they respond to a plethora of calls from car wrecks, house fires, even some medical calls,” said Kiefer Daughtry, Assistant Fire Chief, Tifton Fire Dept.

The Tifton Fire Department is opening its doors to individuals ready to serve their community. No prior experience is required, making this role accessible to anyone with the heart and determination to protect and serve.

“With applicants that are selected, we do in-house training, so this would be something you wouldn’t have to already be certified in or even have to be sent off to be certified in. There could be potentially an opportunity where we do all our in-house training. As far as benefits, we are competitive with pay and we are competitive with our benefits. We offer medical, dental, vision and pensions and 457 opportunities,” said Daughtry.

The fire department invites those eager to make a difference to take the next step.

Interested individuals can apply in person at the fire station at 403 Forest Avenue in Tifton or online at www.Tifton.Net.

“If anybody’s ever thought about being a fireman, I highly recommend coming to see us at the Tifton Fire Department. We are a great place to work. I’ve been here 11 years full time, and I wouldn’t want to be any other place, so come see us,” said Daughtry.
