Tifton celebrates Autism Acceptance Month
TIFTON, Ga. – April is Autism Acceptance Month, and on Saturday, The Conner Group for Pediatric Therapy hosted an event in Tifton to teach people what it is like to live with autism.
The autism acceptance celebration held several vendors and activities at Fulwood Park in Tifton. An event dedicated to bring a sense of understanding and acceptance for people who live life on the autism spectrum.
The celebration was a testament to the uniqueness and beauty of every mind, which creates a space where differences are not only acknowledged, but also celebrated.
Several of the vendors at the event provided information about autism, as well as autism experts on hand to disprove several of the myths surrounding neurodiversity.
The event ended with attendees joining hands in solidarity in a communal gathering where they can share stories, exchange experiences, and build connections to go beyond neurotypical boundaries.
By embracing and celebrating neurodiversity, this celebration paved the way for a future where everyone is accepted, appreciated, and celebrated for who they are.
