Tifton Celebrate Recovery Fest to be held this weekend

TIFTON, Ga. – Over in the Friendly City, Tifton will be hosting a recovery fest this Saturday.

In honor of National Recovery Month, First Baptist Church of Tifton is putting on a festival from 12 to 3 pm, with free food, live music, and inspiring testimonies. There will also be information on the church and helpful recovery resources.

Whether you’re on your own path to recovery, supporting a loved one, or simply want to show your support, event organizer Michelle Gilder tells us everyone is welcome.

“We have evolved into a family friendly event. So, there’s things for the kids to do, things for adults to do. There’ll be food and games with prizes, music testimonies from different pathways of recovery and vendor booths. We have 17 different vendors that come and just have information from treatment centers to all different kinds of recovery resources. It is for everybody, family members, people just curious, people that are struggling currently, people that are striving in their recovery. It’s literally for everybody,” said Michelle Gilder, event organizer.

The event will take place at 877 Prince Avenue, in the Fulwood Park stage area.
