Tift Co. Schools announces plans for construction of new middle school this fall
TIFTON, Ga. – During a meeting with the Rotary Club, Tift County Superintendent Natalie Gore shared exciting news about plans to break ground this fall on a new middle school for 7th and 8th graders, set to open by the 2027-2028 school year.
The school will be located next to Tift County High School (TCHS), allowing students to easily move between the two campuses for classes. The new facility will be designed to foster a dynamic and modern educational environment, with collaborative and innovative learning spaces. The middle school is expected to serve around 1,200 students.
In addition, the district is planning a new multipurpose building, although details remain limited as its scope is still being determined.
Gore also revealed plans to renovate all existing schools in the county, with some in greater need of repairs than others. Among the upgrades are improvements to wiring and plumbing.
