Tift Co. Board of Education names new principal of Tift County High School

TIFTON, Ga. – In other local news, at the Tift County Board of Education meeting Thursday night, the board revealed their selection for the new high school principal for the upcoming school year.

Jennifer Johnson, a 2004 graduate of Tift County High School, has been appointed as the new principal. Previously, she taught middle school math and served as a cheerleading coach until 2017 when she became Assistant Principal at the high school. In 2021, she assumed the role of Principal at Northeast Middle School in Tifton.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Johnson stated, “I am very excited to join an esteemed faculty and staff in efforts of  continuing to pursue a culture of excellence! Being able to lead in a place that helped to mold my educational career makes this transition even sweeter.”
