Tift Animal Rescue holds pet vaccination & microchip clinic

TIFTON, Ga. – On Saturday, Tift Animal Rescue hosted a vaccine and microchip clinic, offering pet parents an affordable opportunity to care for their furry companions.

For a small donation fee, pet owners could bring their pets in for crucial vaccinations, along with microchipping services to increase the chances of reuniting with their pets if they ever get lost.

The event aimed to ease the financial burden that comes with keeping pets healthy. Vaccinations are essential to protect pets from dangerous diseases, and microchipping provides added peace of mind.

The clinic was not only a win for the pets, but also a great relief for owners who know how costly proper pet care can be.

“This is the second time we’re doing the Rabies. The Parvo shots and the microchip event, all in one. We’re just basically getting people to park and we’re giving them paperwork to fill out and they’re coming and sitting in line and waiting to get the vet to see their puppy or kitty,” said Gabi Hernandez, volunteer, Tift Animal Rescue.

A lot of the community seems to appreciate these kind of events that we do since a lot of other shelters and rescues don’t really have the money or funds or time to do these kind of things.

“We’re very thankful that they’re here because it shows that they care about their pets. We’re just encouraging people to take care of their pets more and help reduce the pet populations here in Tifton. We’re also trying to encourage people to be aware of their pet’s health and how important it is,” said Hernandez.

Tift Animal Rescue would also partner with greater good charities on Sunday to provide free dog and cat food, as well as humanitarian aid packages, as part of disaster relief efforts for those in need.
