Thirstology awarded “Best Woman Owned Business” in Tifton for second year

TIFTON, Ga. – Showcasing excellence and resilience in the local business community, one woman owned business has secured top honors for the second year in a row.

Thirstology, the esteemed Infusions and Wellness Lounge, led by Gerlana Vargas and Robin Stanley, have secured the prestigious title of “Best Woman Owned Business” in Tifton, for the second consecutive year.

The title was bestowed upon them in the, “Best of Tifton 2024” awards, organized by the Tifton Gazette, where members of the community voted in favor of Thirstology as the top contender.

“We can take this time to thank all of our customers for voting for us for best woman on business two years in a row, but thank you guys so much. It has been a great reward to be able to provide services to you guys and to educate you on health and wellness,” said Gerlana Vargas, Nurse Practitioner, co-owner.

“I love Thirstology so much and it’s the best thing that has ever happened to us. We’ve changed so many lives and I just love this business. I love what we do for our community. I love how we touched many lives. Winning the “Best Women Owned Business” award two years in a row feels like an incredible validation of the hard work, dedication and passion we pour into this IV hydration business. Our commitment to health, wellness and making a difference in the community is at the core of what we do, and this recognition reaffirms that our impact is truly meaningful,” said Robin Stanley, Nurse Practitioner, co-owner.

The IV hydration clinic offers a comprehensive range of services, including IV fluids, vitamin injections, and educational programs aimed at promoting community wellness, covering topics such as weight loss and overall health improvement.

“Thanks to winning this award goes to our great customers. We tend to improve based on our customers’ feedback. Getting their feedback and taking into account of what they want and need will help us improve along with seeing what type of services they would like. And, then, we can add that to our business model,” said Vargas.

Gerlana Vargas and Robin Stanley share their perspective on the importance of women pursuing entrepreneurship.

“So, women’s entrepreneurship is very important because a lot of women, especially depending on their field, do not have a seat at the table. And, so, it’s very important, especially with us being minority women, that we can expand and bring more seats to the table that we make,” said Vargas.

“I think women pursuing entrepreneurship is important because we diversify perspectives, we bring unique ideas and solutions that drive innovation. We gain economic empowerment. We become leaders, we inspire others and challenge stereotypes. We foster inclusive growth. Our business can create jobs and stimulate economic growth, and we drive social change. We often tackle societal issues through our ventures and supporting women in business leads to positive economic and social impact,” said Stanley.
