The Yellow Elephant hosts 9th Annual “Be the Light Night” in honor of World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day

MOULTRIE, Ga. – A special evening of hope and remembrance is planned for the community this week as The Yellow Elephant hosts its 9th Annual “Be the Light Night” in honor of World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day.

The event will take place Wednesday, September 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. on the Downtown Moultrie Square. Activities begin with a resource fair at 6 p.m., followed by speakers at 7 p.m. sharing powerful stories of loss, faith, and resilience.

The evening will also feature worship, prayer, and a candlelight vigil, offering a space for the community to honor loved ones lost and to stand together in support of mental health awareness.

Organizers emphasize that the event is open to everyone, saying, “Come as you are. Every light matters, and together, we shine brighter.”
