Dr. Roberts elaborates on the critical contributions towards maintaining the clinic…

“Well, we don’t get any government funding. Were funded completely by private contributions. The people here in the clinic contribute, and the health department board also contributes. So, we are strictly private donations,” said Dr. Phillip Roberts, M.D.

Dr. Roberts proceeds to offer insights into the array of services provided and discusses the criteria for eligibility.

“We provide services, mainly chronic disease management and evaluation. We also provide laboratory services. And, that’s free to the patients. So, free laboratory service, administering medications. And, we provide low-cost prescriptions for patients, for individuals who have no ability to pay, not even a $5 prescription. We do have a contract with Medi Save Pharmacy and we pay those bills from our resources, but we try to limit that to people who are absolutely unable to pay,” said Dr. Phillip Roberts, M.D.
