The Community of Cordele invites residents to free “Turkeys and Touchdowns” Thanksgiving meal

CORDELE, Ga. – The Community of Cordele, Inc. is bringing neighbors together this Thanksgiving with its “Turkeys and Touchdowns” celebration. The event takes place on Thursday, November 27, at 4 p.m. at 205 East 13th Avenue in Cordele and offers a free traditional Thanksgiving meal for anyone in the community.

Guests will be treated to a full holiday menu that includes turkey, dressing, potato salad, broccoli casserole, collard greens, rolls, sweet potato pie, pound cake, and a choice of tea, coffee, or water. After dinner, attendees can enjoy watching Thanksgiving football together, cheering on their favorite teams in a relaxed, family-friendly setting.

For those who enjoy a more active holiday, the recreation yard will also be open for anyone who wants to join a friendly game of football.

The event is free, and donations are welcome but not required. Organizers encourage guests to RSVP by texting 229-947-9106 to help ensure plenty of food is prepared.
