The ARC of Southwest Georgia hosts “Meals With a Mission” cook-off fundraiser

ALBANY, Ga. – The ARC of Southwest Georgia hosted a friendly chef cook-off fundraiser to support people with disabilities.

The ARC of Southwest Georgia hosted their first “Meals With a Mission” fundraiser, a one-of-a-kind, local celebrity chef cook-off fundraiser.

With the purchase of a ticket, attendees had access to plenty of food, live music, a photo booth, and so much more.

“We basically wanted to have community members come together for this event, which would be our chefs, and then involve the community as much as possible. So, we can support the ARC of Southwest Georgia with supporting people with disabilities and creating life changing solutions for them,” said Jasmine Willoughby, Director of Development and Communications.

The fundraiser also included a silent auction with many amazing items for bidding.

Director of Development and Communications, Jasmine Willoughby gives more information on the big items included in the auction.

“One of our big-ticket items in Georgia tickets for the home opening game against Tennessee, September 2, so we actually started those early so people could start bidding. We’re gonna have other items, and one of those is a three-month golf membership to Doublegate Country Club,” said Willoughby.

The ARC of Southwest Georgia greatly appreciate those who helped make the event possible.

“We are so incredibly thankful to all of our sponsors, really couldn’t do this event without them. We’ve had sponsors in different kinds of aspects. We’ve had in-kind donations, which involves ingredients for our chefs to cook for everyone. Some of it is monetary donations, which helps us buy certain things. Then anything extra goes towards our individuals that we support,” said Willoughby.
